Want to make a difference but feel unsure about the tools and procedures you can utilize to do so? Join Dr. Karen Korematsu as she highlights how you can start at the grassroots level to bring about change in your community. Dr. Karen Korematsu is the Founder and Executive Director of the Fred T. Korematsu Institute and the daughter of the late civil rights icon, Fred Korematsu. She serves on the board of directors of Asian Americans Advancing Justice-AAJC and NAPABA Law Foundation and has signed on to various amicus briefs opposing violations of constitutional Rights. Dr. Korematsu will speak about the ways in which community members can bring about change in specific and meaningful ways and how civics can be a path forward towards fighting injustices, creating changes, and being a more active participant in their communities.
