STRENGTH AND FLEXIBILITY: A SENIOR’S GUIDE TO RECLAIMING YOUR YOUTH

Thursday, May 62:00—3:00 PMVirtual

No matter one’s age, strength and flexibility are necessary attributes to navigate our world with agility and confidence. As seniors, it is even more imperative that, to counter the body’s natural atrophy, we exercise our muscular system including upper torso, legs and core. A strong body translates into better balance, walking and day-to-day functioning. In this seminar, led by Richard Portugal, you will learn chair and standing exercises to build strength utilizing a large lightweight ball, a resistance band, a small ball and muscle-to-muscle implementation. Attention will be focused upon chest, shoulders, back, stomach, legs, hands and feet. The exercises will encompass strength, reflexes and speed. All these muscle groups require stimulation to ensure vigor, agility and proper functionality. Come and get strong. Excite your muscles and make yourself younger! Registration required.
